Common name: Pasque flower, meadow anemone, wind flower

Occurrence:

found locally in chalk downs and limestone areas of England.

Parts used:

the whole herb. It produces oil of anemone upon distillation with water.

Medicinal uses:

nervine, antispasmodic, alterative and diaphoretic. It is beneficial in disorders of mucous membranes and of the respiratory and digestive passages. Can be used to treat asthma, whooping cough and bronchitis.

Administered as: fluid extract.
