Clover, Red Trifolium pratense.

Common name: Trefoil, purple clover.

Occurrence: widely distributed in Britain and Europe.

Parts used: the flowers.

Medicinal uses:

alterative, sedative, antispasmodic. The fluid extract or infusion are excellent in treating bronchial and whooping coughs. External application of the herb in a poultice has been used on cancerous growths.

Administered as: fluid extract and infusion.
